Initially created as a collaboration with Professor Penderecki, the tour was performed as an homage after Maestro’s tragic passing. Conducting the National Forum of Music Orchestra, produced with The Krzysztof Penderecki European Center for Music.

2017 WARSAW GHETTO UPRISING

Commissioned by the POLIN (Museum of the History of Polish Jews) to write Warsaw Ghetto Threnody, a 35 minute symphonic piece for the commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, broadcasted on National TVP1 with presidents and ambassadors of Poland, Israel and Germany in attendance.

2018 “JIMEK + Festival”

Headlined “JIMEK +” two day festival at the Gliwice Arena featuring international guests Michael League (Snarky Puppy) and Pharoahe Monch among others.

2016 SYMPHONIC RAP ALBUM

Asked to record a symphonic Rap album “MoTrip Orchestrated by JIMEK" for Deutsche Grammophon, the oldest record label in the world, with German rapper MoTrip. Performed and recorded at the historic Konzerthaus Berlin and later performed at the Cologne Philharmonic conducting WDR (West German Radio) symphonic orchestra.

2016 SOLIDARITY OF ARTS

Headliner and musical director of Poland’s biggest open air jazz festival “Solidarity of Arts -JIMEK+” conducting one of Europe's best symphonic orchestras, Katowice's NOSPR.

2015 HIP HOP HISTORY

As a personal tribute to his rap heroes, JIMEK orchestrated his favourite beats as an encore to his concert JIMEK x MIUOSH x NOSPR. A video posted by fans went viral, appearing on websites such as Hypebeast and being reposted by many of the artists who’s music featured in the piece such as (Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang Clan, Nicki Minaj, Pharaohe Monch, M.O.P).

2017 POLISH ACADEMY AWARD

Awarded the Polish Film Academy Award for Best Score for ‘Art of Loving’. Awarded the Komeda Grand Prix, Transatlantyk Best Young Composer Award and the Young Cinema Award for Best Score in the film ‘Panic Attack’.

2017 CHILDREN’S ORCHESTRA KENYA

Travelled to Kenya to mentor and conduct a youth workshop with Ghetto Classics, a children’s orchestra from the slums in Korogocho. Together they performed at the Safaricom Jazz Festival in Nairobi, Africa’s largest jazz festival, and again in Poland during the summer of 2018. JIMEK was honored to become their ambassador and returned for 2 more years.

2015 SYMPHONIC RAP CONCERT

JIMEK x MIUOSH x NOSPR, symphonic rap concert performed with Polish rapper Miuosh and recorded with NOSPR (The Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra) in Katowice.

2014 POLISH NEWS

Asked to compose the musical theme for Channel 1 News, the most watched News on TV in Poland. Unbeknownst to the executives at Polish TVP, JIMEK had already composed the music as a teenager in the hope that one day he would be given the chance to make music for the news. The theme was approved at the first meeting and recorded with a 75 piece symphonic orchestra.

 

2014 CRUX

Commissioned CRUX, a 20 min symphonic for the inauguration of the new Szczecin Philharmonic concert hall. After JIMEK's two concerts he decided to open the doors and perform spontaneously, with no tickets and no suit jackets.

2012 Beyoncé

Winner of Beyoncé’s ‘End of Time’ remix competition, beating over 3000 international contestants. His track was picked out by Beyoncé and a number of judges including; Giorgio Moroder, Isabella 'the Machine' Summers (Florence and the Machine), Afrojack and Diplo. The winning track was then released on Beyonce’s “4: The Remix”.
